Coverage of child growth and development monitoring in Indonesia remains low, with only 68% of children aged 0–72 months monitored according to the Stimulation, Early Detection, and Early Intervention for Growth and Development (SDIDTK). In Kuningan Regency, SDIDTK coverage is only 57.8%. A study conducted at Kramatmulya Primary Health Center (UPTD Puskesmas Kramatmulya) found that 80% of community health volunteers (Posyandu cadres) had insufficient understanding of the SDIDTK concept, and 70% had never received related training. Capacity-building through cadre training is therefore essential to improve early detection and prevention of child growth and developmental disorders. This community service program aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of Posyandu cadres in Cilowa Village in implementing the SDIDTK program. The intervention consisted of health education sessions, hands-on practical training, and evaluation using pre-test and post-test assessments involving 30 Posyandu cadres. The results demonstrated a substantial improvement in knowledge, increasing from 36.7% to 93.3%, and in practical skills, increasing from 23.3% to 90.0%. The Wilcoxon signed-rank test revealed statistically significant improvements in both knowledge (p = 0.000) and skills (p = 0.000). These findings indicate that the interactive, practical, and needs-based training effectively strengthened the cadres' competencies. In conclusion, SDIDTK training positively contributed to the preparedness of Posyandu cadres in the early detection of child growth and developmental disorders. Regular SDIDTK training should be implemented with adequate educational tools, continuous supervision from Primary Health Centers, and cross-sector collaboration to ensure optimal and sustainable implementation of the program at Posyandu.
